SUMMARY:Volunteer with Kings Water Alliance (training & informative session)
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to help people get access to safe drinking water?  \nJoin us on Wednesday\, September 11 at Fresno State (Thomas Building\, Room 117) for a volunteer orientation to find out if volunteering with Kings Water Alliance is for you! We are a non-profit organization that helps people with residential wells with free well water testing. In many areas of the Central Valley\, 50% of residential wells could have unsafe levels of nitrates in their water. The only way to find out is to test the well water. If test results show levels of Nitrates that are above a certain threshold\, those households are eligible for free bottled water delivery (every 2 weeks). \nWe are looking for volunteers to help us spread the word and reach people who rely on wells for their drinking water. \nWhat you will get to do: \n\nEducate residents about our free resources\nGain outreach & marketing experience\nAttend food banks\, resource fairs\, and other events\n\n RSVP*\n  \n*RSVP is optional and will only be used to send you a reminder email before the event. Feel free to attend without submitting an RSVP \n——- \nHave questions? Email jjensen@krcd.org \nFor more information\, visit kingswateralliance.org/about
