Kings Water Alliance

Take the next step toward safe drinking water

Sustainability & safe drinking water in the Kings Water Alliance.

The Kings Water Alliance is the governing body for the Kings Management Zone encompassing the Kings and Tulare Lake groundwater subbasins. The Kings Water Alliance formed to efficiently implement new water quality requirements.

Collaborating to solve the safe drinking water challenge.

Growers, dairies, industries, local communities, environmental organizations, and the State have been collaborating for a decade to develop a solution to the Valley’s salt and nitrate problem. From that effort, the Salt and Nitrate Control Programs were developed to bring long-term sustainability to the Valley’s soil and groundwater, and to provide safe drinking water solutions.

Collaborative Sustainability

Central Valley Salinity Alternatives for Long-Term Sustainability (CV-SALTS) is a collaborative effort to sustain the Valley’s lifestyle, support regional economic growth, retain a world-class agricultural economy, maintain a reliable high-quality water supply, and protect and enhance the environment.
