Safe drinking water is a necessity. For many Central Valley rural area residents, clean and affordable drinking water is not available at their homes. That’s why Kings Water Alliance maintains four free drinking water fill stations free for anyone to use, in the communities of Kerman, Hanford, Dinuba, and Orosi.
This is a practical, community-driven solution that ensures anyone can access safe, reliable drinking water every day.
What Is a Free Water Fill Station?
A water fill station is a public kiosk or vending machine that provides safe drinking water at no cost.
Each fill station is connected to a municipal water supply that meets federal and state drinking water regulations. Each fill station is cleaned 3-5 times a week and our team tests for bacteria in the water monthly. Residents can be confident in the water they use for drinking and cooking from these fill stations.
Community members can simply bring a clean, empty container—anything from a reusable water bottle to a 5-gallon jug—and fill it with clean, safe water.
There is no limit to how many containers residents can fill, and stations are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, making access convenient for everyone.
640,500 GALLONS OF WATER USED*
Since 2020*, free fill stations in Hanford, Kerman, Dinuba, and now Orosi, are providing safe drinking water to local residents who may not otherwise have access to safe drinking water. Thousands of gallons of water are supplied each month at fill station locations throughout the Central Valley.

Cleaning and Sanitizing Water Bottles
For your safety, use only clean containers intended for drinking water. Containers used for milk, juice, or any other substance should not be used for water intended for human consumption.
- Wash the storage container and rinse completely with water.
- Sanitize a 5-gallon container with a solution made by mixing 1 teaspoon of unscented liquid household chlorine bleach in one quart of water.
- Cover the container tightly and shake it well. Make sure the sanitizing bleach solutions touches all inside surfaces of the container.
- Wait at least 30 seconds and then pour the sanitizing solutions out of the container.
- Let the empty sanitized container air-dry before use OR rinse the empty container with already available clean, safe water.
- Dispense clean water into the sanitized container and cover with a tight lid.
