Why You Should Consider This Free Program

If you live in a rural area and rely on a private well, this program can provide peace of mind about your drinking water quality. With free well testing and bottled water delivery, you can ensure that your family is consuming safe, clean water, that is free of harmful contaminants such as nitrate.

How Does Nitrate Contamination Affect Drinking Water?

Nitrates enter the groundwater through fertilizers, wastewater discharge from farms and industries, and leaking septic systems. Long-term exposure to high nitrate levels in drinking water can pose health risks, particularly for infants and pregnant women. If you rely on a private well for drinking water, testing your water quality is crucial to ensuring its safety.

How to Get Started

Step 1: Check Your Home’s Location

Use our interactive map to see if your home is located within the Kings Water Alliance boundaries:

1. Enter your home address in the search bar at the top right of the interactive map.

2. If your residence is in our service area, you may be eligible for a free well test and bottled water delivery. Next step is to fill out a simple survey to find out if you are eligible.

Step 2: Fill out the survey

To confirm eligibility, complete the Residential Drinking Water Well Survey:

– The survey helps determine if your drinking water well has unsafe nitrate levels.

– If eligible, KWA will arrange a free water test to check for nitrate contamination.
